Taiwan 2013 - Part 3

Lol sorry it took me so long to write this post. Well editing large amount of photos is a hassle.. or maybe I’m just lazy lol

Breakfast for the third day

image

That rice with bonito flakes and mayo seemed like a weird combination but it worked!! The thai style tempura were quite yummy too. And ofc I had to get their juicy sausages and hashbrowns~

image

image

Mini second round. Couldn’t resist another piece of their yummy hashbrown. That black rectangular block was pig’s blood cake. It tasted awful.. though I’d never liked pig’s blood cake lol. Well no harm trying since it was just a small piece

image

Changing hotel urgh. Actually ootd lol

image

Quick stop at a temple supposedly famous for people wishing for wealth

image

The temple was full of tunnels like this with statues of different gods

image

image

Pretty view~

There was a kau chim machine (yes machine not wooden sticks talk about modernizing) where you slot a coin into it and a card shoots out. Literally. The card shoots out really far from the dispenser hole and everyone had to get their cards from the ground LOL

image

Like the traditional method, you have to read your fortune from the booklet provided

image

Mine was pretty bad :( It said not to have high expectations. That said this year has been pretty average for me so far. Not much big accomplishments meh

image

Mom’s one was not too bad

image

Tamsui old street. Mom took this. The banner seems more like the focus of the photo than the mountain lol

image

It was quite misty so we didn’t take a lot of scenery shots

image

Fish roe sausage

image

Quite a disappointment. Its less greasy and taste lighter than the usual sausages but a little bland

image

LOL THE BANNER. It says (if you drink their tea) you can go for Miss China no matter how bad your complexion is. Basically saying that their tea will make you have better complexion/look prettier

image

Did some research and apparently ah gei was the must-eat item in danshui. And our guide confirmed it!

image

Its basically cellophane noodles wrapped in tofu with some gravy poured over it. Hmmm I didn’t really like the taste of the gravy. It was tangy in a weird way

Next stop was Fort San Domingo

image

Our guide said it was a popular place for shooting wedding pictorials

Random flower Mom asked me to take a shot of lol

Tamsui fisherman’s wharf next

Simple local fare for lunch. The braised pork rice was surprisingly nice for a tourist spot!

image

image

image

image

Heading to the next (impromptu) destination recommended by our guide - Dingshan temple

image

Saw some cherry blossom trees along the way!

Our guide couldn’t find the place so we took quite a while to reach and almost gave up

Well fortunately we managed to find the place because

image

image

image

image

image

image

image

image

Yeap. Chinese temple decorated in lots of seashells and coral reefs. Interesting no? My guide said that the temple is moving to another location soon.. Have no idea how they are gonna move those shells and all though

image

image

Guide treated me to a pack of spicy spiral shells. Taiwanese like to pair them with beer. Anyway you are supposed to suck the meat out of the shell. Quite a pain to eat this actually.. Could barely sucked any meat out (why does this sounds so wrong wtf) and all you could taste was the spiciness from the sauce. I wonder who will get the non-spicy flavour..

Another “exclusive” destination of the guide.. by a roadside haha

image

Lol wtf. The attraction of this “destination” was that the water was flowing against gravity (we were on a slight slope). Turned out to be some kind of illusion (…) which I can’t be bothered to explain. Conclusion is our guide was kinda lame lol

image

Heading for another impromptu destination lol

image

Xiaoyoukeng near Yangminshan

image

image

Went to yangminshan for the flowers next. But the jam was CRAZY and we had to give up ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ Our guide was so frustrated with the jam its funny. We ain’t even as annoyed as he was haha. And he kept comforting us saying that the flowers were not in full bloom yet anyway lol

Dinner time! It was really late by the time our guide decided to give up on Yangmingshan hahaha

image

He drove us to a nearby hot springs place which had a restaurant too because he thought that we should have a “decent” meal instead of night market food again lol

image

image

image

Erm.. vegetables lol

image

Sweet and sour pork

image

Oyster mushrooms. I liked this dish while the rest were so-so

image

Longshan temple

image

image

image

image

image

image

After the temple we officially said goodbye to our guide as it was the last day of the guided tour. Gave him a red packet as his hospitality was great!!

Huaxi street near the temple

image

Lots of snake soup shops around

image

This snake was HUGE. Its body was twice the size of my arm O.O

Went to huaxi street night market to hunt for street food even though we were still stuffed from dinner

image

image

This was SO GOOD. The mochi skin was soft and black sesame and peanut just goes well with mochi

image

image

This was OMFG OUT OF THIS WORLD. Made me officially in love with black pepper biscuit!! The stall owner asked if I mind getting one with a slightly burnt top and I said ok and she gave me a NT10 discount lol. Even though its a little burnt, its still amazing. Crispy skin and juicy meat filling. I want one now!!!

I GOT7 and GOT7 : from the PD of ‘I GOT 7’

Today…so just now the filming of I GOT7’s last episode finished…..

Of course to be completely finished the footage needs to be mixed and edited but… I GOT7 has now ended…

I’ve always like to start new things and finish up things that I had already been doing but… is it because I’m getting older? It was disappointing because it was the last episode… I felt emotional while editing the footage and typing captions…

The reason I feel all this regret could be because of GOT7

Before the program I really knew GOT7 as the rookie group that sang Girlsx3

But now I know them not as idol group GOT7 but as Jaebum. Mark. Jinyoung. Jackson. Youngjae. BamBam. Yugyeom…

As I got to know them throughout the 3 months that the 10 episodes were filmed, I felt more and more that these are good kids who like people.

At first it was very awkward and very clear that they were rookies… they all seemed to discreetly hide during filming so I didn’t know what to do~~ but Youngjae was confident so he caught my eye.

Next the one with a strong affinity for entertainment sense??? Is he a genius?? but then I realized that he tried harder than anyone and that effort paid off so Jackson also caught my eye.

Also Yugyeom who has yet to outgrow the boyish features that signifies his youth caught my eye

At first he didn’t say a word but it turned out that he was shy… When he gets comfortable he spoke a lot and vied for screen time so Mark caught my eye.

JB who isn’t good at expressing himself but simply and honestly takes care of people and BamBam who just seemed young at first but is smart and takes care of others, these two both caught my eye.

Jinyoung was the one who I didn’t really know until the end but he likes people enough to learn the names of every single one of the staff and speaks to people sincerely, which impressed me.

image

It was probably from this recording that I started to gain more interest in these seven boys.

I’m not the type to talk to celebrities on set but I felt that these were innocent boys and I started to care about them…

To be honest all rookie idol groups are good and work hard in front of PDs. GOT7 were good and worked hard in a slightly different way.

They didn’t just try to appear like they were good people they seemed to actually be good people who worked hard…

I feel that as time passes the position of a person may change but the sincerity with which a person treats others does not change…

I feel that I have become a fan of idol group GOT7’s boys Jaebum. Mark. Jinyoung. Jackson. Youngjae. BamBam. Yugyeom.

So I hope these kids make it big…

I’ve been a Shinhwa fan for 16 years. I’m not as a fervent fan as back then or devote time of day to them but they’re a part of my life.

I’m too busy to open CDs and always just download the MP3 to listen but I still always buy the album.

I hope that GOT7’s baby birds (t/n: GOT7 shorted ‘I GOT7’ in Korean and Mark was the first to (mis)write it as ‘아가새’ which means ‘baby bird’) will be able to spend as long time with GOT7.

Just the type that always waits and sometimes even say bitter words…

Fans that stay not because of the initial excitement but because of their surety…

As the time spent together increases, and you all age together, you will have a much different and more impressive relationship created through shared memories

So I hope that there will be fans to walk with GOT7 for that long period of time..

I won’t be able to walk all that way but I will watch from afar and smile……

kkk I stayed up all night and felt very emotional kkk

Is it because I’m getting old??

GOT7, I’m sorry I wasn’t able to make it more fun or more impressive~~

Next time meet a better more experienced PD than me and because famous!!!

I GOT7 was great!!!! GOT7 jjai~~~
